Sam is a Washington native turned Idahoan, drawn away from the city into the vast wilderness and an inspiring community. She is a retired early childhood educator, death doula, herbalist, and ethical wildcrafter. When she is not elbow-deep tending sourdough, she fills her days by nurturing the lives of her two young children, communing with the food and medicine that resides in the forest and garden, family adventures, and fortifying her obsession with her chickens.

Jeff is a New Jersey native. He is a design master and flavor wizard. He finds deep joy in being on one of his several bikes, skiing, doing dad things, working with his hands, being handy, and making all of Sam’s dreams come true.
